base 2 clock

The base 2 clock runs on an 8 hour cycle and consists of 8 lights to track the movement of time. The lights are in the design of the Big Dipper and the North Star. The last 2 stars of the dipper align to point to the North Star, thus providing the cardinal direction of North, and subsequently East, South, and West, thus providing the capbility for navigation by the stars.

The values for the stars starting with the North Star and tracing back are 4 hours (N Star), 2 hours, 1 hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 8 minutes, 4 minutes, 2 minutes.

That time totalled when all lights are lit is 7 hours 59 minutes, the next increment which brings us to 8 hours will be all lights out, and the 8 hour cycle begins again.

One day consists of 3 cycles of the clock (Morining, Midday, Night) with morning from 4am to 12 noon, midday from noon till 8pm. and night from 8pm to 4am.

The base 2 clock is a lesson in Time, and the conceptualization of Time, Mathematics, Computer Science, Coding, Electronics, Astronomy, Astrology, Cardinal Directions, Navigation and Art.

Educational sessions for all levels from pre-school through high school are available in 1 hour sessions with options for 1 session, 2 sessions, or 4 sessions.

Cost is $75 per session and are facillitated by the artist.
